well I just called and the guy said they use standard 75-85 gear oil so it may not be the problem. They want to see the car but they need to see it on a cold morning, which doesn't really work living in squamish and being 45 minutes away haha. idealy I'd just like some redline MTL in there, but as he said, there may be another issue in there and they want to see it before I start screwing around with it. also I don't want to pay for it. $12/L is pricey! |
Test drove the Genesis 3.8 today, it was really responsive, decent brakes, stable steering. The powerband was narrow for a V6, it loses power when you go over 5000rpm. The front seats were great. The rears seats are horrible, no head room at all and Im only 5'7" |
this is just amazing.. Hyundai really has come a long way and the car looks amazing..... |
can this not go to fight club boys? |
Well well, looks like the the 2.0 turbo engine is a bit underrated Edmunds dyno run of the 2.0T engine http://blogs.edmunds.com/straightlin...20t%20dyno.jpg Look at the kink http://blogs.edmunds.com/straightlin...yno2_arrow.JPG |

Are those numbers at the wheels or the motor? and that kink is interesting, I had mine up on the hoist for the first time yesterday and was puzzled by the kink as well. Time for a 3"! |

That's awesome power for 210 at the crank! |
Better have some 3" when you come out to the bay. I request a ride and maybe a little dori, dori. S12 vs genesis |

It'll have a bunch done by canada day including a 3", and we'll have more people up there and possibly a boat, so we don't have to drink in that lakeside park haha. |
The kink looks like it supposed to clear that bar at the bottom. |
Yes its me, i say enter the parade like you did with the skyline last year, i might with my ziptied s12 this year, haha, boat? this could be dope |

all previous unrelated posts moved to new thread. If you are interested in debating about shifting go there http://www.revscene.net/forums/shift...e-t568912.html please keep this thread on topic in the lines of Hyundai Genesis. thanks. |
I just got mine on Saturday, the 3.8 version, and so far I am very impressed regardless of manufacture they did a great job with this car. Only time will truly tell but my first impressions are very good and they did a lot of small things to make the interior very user/driver friendly IMO I got the Bathhurst Black and it goes in tomorrow for full tint and new 19" wheels. These are them here, I am very excited to see what they look like on it. Lowering will happen once the products are available. http://www.modbargains.com/images/Pr...ls/410%201.jpg |
^ congrats! the 3.8 should be a nice unit to have. It's what Mitsu should have done with their own engine in their own Eclipse :lol instead of the current front drive config. |

Yeah I agree to that, wouldn't want to see a gencoupe running around with stock suspension and those rims.. It's gonna look like its floating |

There is no way I am waiting 6-8 weeks before the suspension comes in. I phone Eibach and they don't even have them to be shipped for another month or more. |
at least eibach has a part number out already. so does H&R ;) you could probably get something decent send overnight parts from Korea, but that would be more moneys than worth it probably. |
wow everything does look good but i don't think the 2.0 have enough power.... anymore interior shots? |
more pics! |
took a few pictures as we were leaving the meet today (was in my friend's miata). It looks pretty good in person! A lot bigger in size than I imagined. |
