Why didnt they just kill Kyle Reese off after then got him to skynet? This movie was so bad.
Another thing that has always confused me with Terminator. If Kyle Reese is John's father, and John sends Kyle Reese back in time to pregnant Sarah, how did the first John send the first Kyle back?
I was thinking about that too. Good movie to watch, but looking back it had a lot of holes

Well, it would if you turned off your brain. There were just so many inconsistencies and just weird stupidity going on:
Spoiler!
Kyle Reese. wtf is he doing in LA with a mute kid, yet knows where the Resistance could be found and he had the means (those cars) to get there?
Why do all cars seem to have gas in them?
Gas station scene: how the hell did they NOT hear a Transporter land, and giant Harvester come out and walk over?
Skynet has a friggin' terminal. What, so people could access it? So inefficient and non-machine-like.
I thought there were no guards inside the Skynet compound, but then they have one. One very, very stupid T-700 that sees Connor's little magic toy that can do anything and keeps walking. -_-
Speaking of Connor's magic toy, why does no one else have one?!?! Why aren't there fleets of Resistance-captured Moto-Terminators?!?! That was a pretty bad-ass scene when he took one though.
The afore-mentioned let's-not-kill-Kyle-Reese-right-away thing. Hell, that scout that chased their Jeep? It could've kamikaze'd into them and that would be game over. But no.
Heart transplant...yeah. No protests LOL And how would they know where to put the needles for his organic parts? He is still a Terminator, afterall.
And speaking of Termies, how the hell was the that T-800 so frakkin' tough?!?! It was like, indestuctible. This was 2018, before the 2030ish or whenever they sent back the Arnolds. Guess they don't make them like they used to.
Speaking of timeline, they didn't make it a point that John Connor knew a lot more about what was "supposed to happen" and supposedly one of the big plot points was supposed to be that the T-800 is being build almost 20 years before lit should've been developed by Skynet, and that this future is very different from the one where the original Kyle Reese came back from.
Ah well. I'll just watch the rest of the Sarah Connor Chronicles and let that cover over this crap.

Ya that's what I thought. For example:
Spoiler!
Why did he get so excited when they found a way to disable the machines? He knew that wasn't gonna stop them because a lot of events that he knows will happen has not happened yet. Hell, he even knows he's gonna die in the future.

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) hi there

if a movie sound system causes my seat to shake, its too fucking loud. seriously.
and i drove around for years with 12" subs and a 400W amp.
OMFG I thought I was the only person who thought this. Sometimes the theatre is just too damn loud. I guess they just have a kid running the cinema arbitrarily decide what the volume should be?
i still think terminator 2 was the last real terminator.
Spoiler!
arnold wasnt as bad as i thought, he looked half decent
but yeah, how many fucking times did they have to use the damn corny ill be back line. or some other bullshit line. there were so many corny dumb things about this movie.
i'd say star trek was a better movie overall. actually in every category.
Felt bad for christian bale, he apparently only agreed to do this movie if script was written, but they had the writers strike and the director screwed him over and went on with it. . . john conner's character did nothing in this movie.
but i think he got a huge salary, so guess i dont feel bad for him. haha
[/spoiler]
i read about this. the original script had less focus on the john connor character, but they had to make it more or else bale wouldn't sign on... i guess from what everyone else is saying in their reviews it didn't work so well. no wonder why bale had that hissy fit
Meh, I was expecting to be blown away, but I came out unimpressed. They should have at least had an all out battlefield scene with machines vs. humans with lots of blood and gore, crazy explotions/stunts. All they had were a few shots of the T800 walking around trying to act gangster. They also should have placed more emphasis on John Connor instead of those corny newb characters.

skynet was crippled in san fran. that's it. they said skynet still had strong networks all around the world. you cant destroy the internets!!! SKYNET IS THE INTERNETS!!!
I think the issue with any Terminator movie that was made after T2 (One of the best science fiction movies ever made, if not THE best) is that everybody will hold it to that standard. The first two happened to be directed by James Cameron, who, say what you will about him being an egomaniac, is one of the best directors around. McG did as well as he could have with the script he had, considering his Charlie's Angels movies were almost unwatchable. The key with the first 2 movies is that Cameron put so much character development into the film that you actually cared about what happened to them, and that's missing from the last 2 films (with the exception of John Connor and Marcus Wright in the latest film). Overall I thought it was a solid movie, 7.5/10.

I watched the premiere to Terminator Salvation.. The movie was okay.. Action scenes can be improved... the story is a bit confusing though... Not enough bang and explosions... I loved the terminator bikes though... inspired by ducati...
