Man gets pepper sprayed at USA border

http://www.vancouversun.com/news/ple...169/story.html

Numnut demands that the US border guard be polite and gets pepper sprayed as a result.

That is freaking hilarious.

Good on the USA :haha:

"I just felt I should stand my ground about it. I should not be treated like that. No matter what kind of position you are in, if you want respect you have to show respect," he said yesterday. "I asked him three times and when I didn't turn the car off, because he didn't say please, he pepper sprayed me.... It was terrible. For half an hour or so I couldn't see anything."

Are you fucking kidding me.

This Fortunato idiot had enough time to ask the officer THREE TIMES to say "please" and is surprised at the reaction?

Things may work differently at your "dance studio" but in the real world, the DHS doesn't have time for your lovey-dovey hippie bullshit.

This is something everybody should know crossing the border, that you can't FUCK with US border guards in any way at all.... you can't even look at them, let alone ask for courtesy.....

I remember sitting on a bench inside the holding area with all the other people while they searched my car one time, and I happened to be looking in the general direction of the guard that pulled me over and put me inside.

I guess he thought I was staring him down, so what does he do ? ..... he runs up on me with his Navy Seal MP5 (and I know this cuz I killed hours on Call of Duty Modern Warfare) with his gun raised to chest level as if he was gonna use it.... starts yelling "What the fuck are you looking at, do you wanna fucking go with me right fuckin now...." etc...etc.... and other profanities, there was lots of kids around as well.....

I'm not bulletproof so I put my head down without saying anything till he finished yelling and walked off.... so yea just stfu, and fully comply without saying little as possible would be the best thing to do

PS: I got owned with the MP5 too many times in COD, I wasn't about get pwned in real life

I wonder if they're different than real cops. You never showed any threat besides from looking at him, is he still able to use his gun? Then again, I'm unsure of how the law works for cops in the states. In Canada, aren't you only allowed to use your draw your gun if there is a perceived life-threatening situation?

Wow, that's pretty harsh. Sounds like the guard is power tripping. I've been in the holding area at least twice while my car gets checked out, and I've been treated with nothing but respect and courtesy.

Cops, at least in California can draw their guns for various situations, how do I know? I took off from a friend's house as a kid when the cops showed up - we were skating his ramp while the family was on vacation (friend tells us to do this as his parents would not normally allow it).

I was running down the sidewalk and the cop shouts "freeze" with her gun drawn in her best TJ Hooker pose. I simply dropped my board walked back and laid down on the curb where she dropped her foot in my back.

Apparently the neighbor had called the police (fair enough) but said we were robbing the house. In the US "rob" means we're in the house and are confronting the owners. Of course none of this was true and we were subsequently released, but the perceived threat was enough to pull guns on me even though I was running the other way. BTW - for some reason everyone in my high school decided to drive by when I was face down on the curb with about 8 cop cars around. Pretty shitty timing.

you know, if that border guard was a real asshole, he could've dismantled the car for
"inspection" after and make him re-assemble it.
haha

you probably weren't doing anything to provoke them, that's why.

I believe in CA it's legal for them to shoot you in the legs "to end a pursuit" so I can see what she's doing. :gun:

tool001 03-05-2009 09:25 AM

i usually can joke around with US border agent, i even knew 1 or 2 by on first name bases,
But canadian border agents are so fucking uptight. they need to lighten up.

!SG 03-05-2009 09:39 AM

depends on the US border guard. but in the most part, if you have all the right documentation, and leave all ur doors unlocked for them to easily search, you are fine.

canadian border guards tighten up security when an incident happens. but normally u can tell which ones are the crabby ones and which ones are there to do their job.

i remember going thru commercial, and was asked to be searched. the canadian border guard, asked me to bring in all papers and car's registration. so i did, sat there and let them search. then she came stomping back in yelling at me that im illegally driving the car with no insurance papers. i told her that SHE asked me to bring them in with me, with all my manifest and invoices. she got all mad, grabbed all my papers and stomped off. one of the other border guards came and told me, "yeah, she did say that to you, but she wont ever admit it" so i sat there waiting, only to be questioned further. whats my involvement with the company, do i have a letter documenting i can clear customs for the company, why was i doing this on a wednesday, how long i have been with the company... then asked me to move the car back over to the parking lot, go back inside to the normal waiting area, and just wait.

The cashiers are really nice though! i got to know them well after clearing customs for 2 years.

As for the the US border side. If you look cocky, if u stand cocky, you might as well just drive urself over to get questioned and searched. Drop the front, your not fooling anyone, and yes, they have the authority. But if u act normal, explain ur business, and have all the right documentation, then you are fine.
