Renting a car - insurance issues

have you guys rented a car lately from the big places like Enterprise or Dollar?

Do you guys opt in to buy the extra insurance or does the ICBC insurance on your current vehicle follow you along to the rental vehicle..? I remember renting a car a few years back, and the clerk scared me into paying an extra $30 a day for the bumper to bumper insurance...

Make sure you have a TRAVEL credit card. Otherwise you're not covered.

TD has a free (no annual fee) one.

get roadside plus from icbc or rental policy from icbc.

screw the optional stuff from rental, it's a cash grab.

I don't have roadside plus, but i just checked the rental policy from ICBC and will be interested to take a look to get a quote. The car rental place charges about $30, so hope ICBC will be cheaper.

ICBC rental policy is $10/day. Its not cheaper if you rent it longer or if you rent it cheaper. Each day ends @ 12 midnight, not a full 24 hr.
