The Neo Geo coulda gone far too. It was a ballin' system.
Oh, and they forgot to add that Panasonic "Edu-tainment" system in there.

I actually still have a Sega Saturn at home. I liked playing a game called " Mobile Suit Gundam:Geili's [greeed*]$$$$$". even the game is 12 years old now. I still wanna play it sometimes.
I also have a DreamCast at home and it is a great console. I bought it in Japan and it has the modem and stuff.
I never owned any Sony Video Consoles at all WHEN I TYPED the proper way of spelling "greeed" and it became "$$$$$"???

The virtual boy is making a comeback! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=37hWzy5SGw0
but now less nauseating because you have 120Hz/2 = 60Hz = average LCD monitor refresh rate.
back then probably people were playing at like 15fps for the nauseating boy.

I remember playing the Nintendo Virtual Boy at The Bay while my mom would be shopping. haha It was so god damn frustrating. I remember playing one game where you were a space ship flying around but since a wall would just be outlined, and a hole would just be outlined, you had no idea where to go. what a huge fail.
I also remember playing Sega Saturn at Costco while my mom would be shopping. haha.
as far as Dreamcast not making the list, I actually think Dreamcast was the best system out at the time. it was the predecessor to the first XBOX. it was better than N64 by a long way, and it was better than Playstation. and remember, it took PS2 nearly a year and a half before anyone could afford one. my buddy had one and we played it a TON in highschool. Dead or Alive 2 is still my favorite fighting game, and who can forget Tokyo Xtreme Racer?!

Dreamcast love ftw! I love my Dreamcast. Prob now going to dig it out later tonight
I am a strong believer that the only reason it 'flopped' was because it was released in the shadow of the hype of the X-Box and what not.

dreamcast was awesome and had the best graphics for its time. sega just underestimated the avg consumers ability to burn an image to a disc. sucks. shenmue ftw
i thought genisis did pretty good. every other person i knew had one. sonic alone carried it.

I owned a genesis, saturn and dreamcast
Dreamcast was definitely an underrated system, 56k online gaming using net zero ftw.
If only Sega waited and used DVD's instead...

3DO should be on there. What's the point if there aren't any games? Same goes for the Jaguar.
Someone mentioned Genesis? That's just crazy. That's where SEGA made a shit ton of money before the SNES hooked up with Street Fighter.
The Saturn is a North American anomaly. Plenty of awesome games but distribution paired with retailer ignorance was its downfall. Games like Panzer Dragoon Saga, Burning Rangers, and Shining Force III are still classics today. Not to mention the ton of other import games like Radiant Silvergun that are available for it. Saturn should definitely be off the list if you are counting quality.
