Driving alone with an L. What's the punishment?

Posted in off topic - and referred to post here..
Just wondering what the punishment if caught driving alone with an L?

Caught meaning no infraction - just a random checkup. Perfect driving other than the fact that one does not have their N?

Is there a chance of a license revocation/extension to the Learner's stage?

Five-Oh 03-08-2009 03:29 PM

Well you will get a ticket for driving contrary to restrictions on your drivers license and probably some other tickets depending on the circumstances. Your vehicle will then be towed at your expense. Then ICBC will also suspend your drivers license for another 3 to 6 months, extending your learner's stage. Also if you are in an accident, I highly doubt ICBC would cover you.

Just suck it up and abide by the rules.

Oh and once suspended, you'll restart you class 7L to class 7N time.

lol

Lenzin 03-09-2009 03:32 PM

It definately wont help you any if you get caught....Prolly get a suspension even before you have your full licence...

zulutango 03-09-2009 04:16 PM

Remember Monopoly...."go directly to Jail, do not pass go, do not collect $200". You got the idea. Tickets and prohib not even considered...imagine spending the rest of your life paying off a $million settlement in a crash...as you have no coverage if you violate the restrictions and ICBC ain't there to help you.

i got 2 months after writing a letter to the superintendent... and there was a speeding ticket too + the driving contrary to restriction. my vehicle wasn't towed and was allowed to drive home that night too, with a parent of course. ah the past..

You should slap your cousin upside the head.

deviant1 03-15-2009 08:01 AM

stupid ass question! Who would ben consider doing that you don't have insurance as icbc would void it if anything happened. You could get Long suspensions from driving. And you have nowhere near enough experience or maturity to drive if you only have an L.

And whomever said their cousin does it all the time. Well our cousin is a retard and his parents are useless for letting him doing it or being so ignorant that they don't know about it. Either way useless parents.

BNR32_Coupe 03-15-2009 12:44 PM

you'll get a lecture from your parents for getting their car towed to busters

Does he also have a bulls eye painted on the hood? Better get the flare deploying racks ready to deflect incoming VT missiles. He's a heat-seeker. Can't wait to see him post here whining how the Cops just picked on him for no reason. I agree...he has no reason....for doing what he is doing.

Soundy 03-16-2009 08:54 AM

Ahh, I'm so glad I got my license long before all this GLP nonsense :)

lawton88 03-22-2009 01:24 PM

i used to drive with my L back when i was younger and dumber lots of these guys say you will loose it.. i never lost it or got it suspended and i got caught 3 times.. it all depends on how many tickets they give you if they just give you wrong class.. like what i got not much will happen becuase its not enough points to take it away.. i woudlnt reccommend doing it though if you get in a accident your screwed my friend did this and smacked up 4 cars

kc1337 03-30-2009 05:20 AM

saiko 03-30-2009 12:56 PM

It's okay if you don't get caught. Just put up a N sign just to look legit. Update us how it goes.

yellowpower 04-13-2009 07:38 PM

What about driving with NO license and what would happen to the passenger if the driver was caught with an L?

zulutango 04-14-2009 06:11 AM

Depends on who the passenger was. If it was the owner then they could be charged with letting the u/l driver, drive. Both will likely be walking home...unless there is a crash, in that case the passenger's lawyer will be suing the uninsured driver for everything he/she will ever make.

MK-EK 04-15-2009 03:48 PM

u get written up!

citation: ridin' dirty
fine: couple stacks

.... not really but my idiot friend got one for L with passenger ... it was like hundy something ... it was really bad though .... no L, @ night, with passenger, left turn on red light .... ya.... FAIL!

Burvs 04-16-2009 08:44 PM

you don't need to see my lisence and registration....move along
