I-Tunes or?

Just formatted....what's better then I-Tunes for playing music?

SkinnyPupp 03-09-2009 11:00 PM

Windows Media Player, Winamp, pretty much anything really

way2quik 03-10-2009 07:29 AM

foobar if you like customizing your own player.
WMP and winamp pretty much do the same thing.

Razor Ramon HG 03-10-2009 08:29 PM

I use iTunes to sync songs to my iPod and to make sure my library is tagged correctly. Otherwise, I pretty much use Winamp for everything else, and I highly recommend the same.

KenM 03-11-2009 03:21 PM

you can sync to iPods using WinAmp and it'll even let you add files to it on other computers without having to delete everything first.

WinAMP. It's light, and "it really whips the llama's ass"

endless402 03-11-2009 08:33 PM

itunes if you dont care about SQ since it has a great interface

Winamp is the OG MP3 player. It was out way before Steve Jobs even thought about making a MP3 Player.

+Kardboard+ 03-11-2009 09:54 PM

Winamp is awesome, although I find myself solely using Songbird to organize my music. I use Winamp to play single files now hahaha

Songbird on my Windows and Linux machines, iTunes on the Mac to sync my iPhone. :p

_Hotsauce_ 03-11-2009 10:26 PM

^
Is songbird just a more resource friendly version of I-tunes?

EDIT: Songbird is pretty cool, I like the additional features

+Kardboard+ 03-11-2009 10:48 PM

Songbird is built on Mozilla, so think of it as the Firefox'd version of iTunes, as it's kinda meant to replace it. The new 1.1 version is MUCH better, quicker, less of a memory hog and much less prone to crashing. :p

itunes is the biggest piece of crap ever. i can't believe people actually use it. i'm forced on it because of my ipod nano or else i wouldn't even install it.

i haven't touched winamp since version 5(?) when they started bloating it with video and other crap. i use windows media player for videos and double clicking individual mp3 files and foobar for my playlists.

AsBannedAsItGets 03-12-2009 07:09 PM

Foobar
Aimp2

Agreed ... unless you're using a Mac, then it's acceptable.

I think they intentionally programmed the Windows version to be a pile of shit ...

_Hotsauce_ 03-17-2009 10:57 AM

Been using Songbird as my primary music player for about 10 days now, it's good but it crash's ALOT in Vista. Seems like 1/4 chance of opening to crash. Other wise, it's a cool player and highly recommend it

+Kardboard+ 03-17-2009 05:00 PM

Really? That blows. Mine has been awesome since I updated to 1.1. On 1.0 it crashed like there was no tomorrow. :(
