Difference between a OEM or Universal Cat Convertor

Aside from the direct fit aspect, are there any other good reasons why a OEM is actually better than a universal? other than the price point..about $ OEM 300-600 or a 90 dollar universal

Build quality, quality of materials, abundance of catalytic properties, longevity.

^efficiency, but i guess that falls under abundance of catalytic properties...

cost of these things comes from platinum inside to increase the catalyst effect.

If your not aircaring anytime soon, the OEM one can be fine.

OEM ones are built much better. Much better quality and quantity. Talking to a guy who scraps cats and sells them. He said one OEM cat, can make about 4-5 aftermarket cats.

I guess the important question is:

What year is the year, model, and make of your car?

OEM cats are meant to last a long time, sometimes, beyond the ownership.
