if you're a cheater, you're already in a relationship with someone.
if you're a player, you have tons of girls. You're not in any relationship so you're not really cheating on ANYONE.

one is socially not accepted, the other is just being frowned upon.
you wife can take 50% of what you make once you cheat on your wife and file for divorce.
