Home Remodeling Incentives via Government?

My parents are planning to replace the roof and I heard on the news(a few months ago) that the government has some incentives for people remodeling their homes or something? Sort of like a way to encourage Canadians to spend money etc etc

Does anyone have any more information on it or have a link to all the details for it?

TIA!

I looked through all 3 sites and I called "Service Canada" at 1-800 O-Canada (1-800-622-6232)

So apparently, the bill has NOT been passed yet? WTF lol

Has anyone got more information? The guy said everything is still a bit "gray" but the bill WILL pass most likely, in a matter of weeks not months.

So you're free to do renovations now cause the bill would most likely pass and you just deduct it off your 2009 tax. However, roofing is not included as of now. Not really sure why =/ but I hope they include it when the final bill is released.
