| New Camaro in Vic!
yup. saw a yellow 2010 camaro ss at wheaton pontiac today.
it's a pre-production model but it actually looks a lot better in person than it does in photos. the dash is kinda weird looking and the windows are rather narrow with the really high waistline, but I think it could kinda grow on me. price is around $46,000 which puts it a bit higher than a challenger rt I saw at ensign.

Is it on display for a couple days, or was that a one day thing?

So by pre production, does that it mean it was like the Volt they were using for a while at dealerships? It was based on another car platform, and didn't actually represent what the real production car would drive / look like? (They looked very similar, but different enough that the pre production [not concept] looked way worse then the production).

I think the camaro will make it into production and it looks hot IMO, just with GM's issues I think the high end super bad ass ones won't happen. Which sucks because those halo versions are usually what I lust after, and buy. (Although usually after they have depreciated a bit)
In a sense the value isn't that good because you end up owning a really pimp version of a car whose bones were made mainly for less performance than what you have, but on the flip side you get all the cool stuff that people of lesser models spend more time and money trying to add to their lesser models.
When I had my Cobra, I was shocked to see how many people would try and build faux-bras, and even now I see some cheesy Lightning wanna-bes out there.

The dealership is apparently doing some sort of training on Tuesday and Wednesday. Why they have the car and how it fits in the training portion I haven't a clue, but I saw it in the showroom as I was driving by Friday night and I took my son to check it out on Saturday. They had it in the shop but they let us in to have a closer look and sit in it.

Spoke to a buddy who was working at the Saturn dealership. The Camaro was in for a few days (today was the last day I think), and was there for the tech's to take apart and put back together. Apparently it wasn't supposed to be in the showroom at all. One of the other dealerships complained when they heard it was in the showroom, and they got a call from the regional manager about it... heh.
Thats what I heard anyways...
