In most cases it's true. There are some clubs where the line up is actually really that long. But this is why you guest list, to avoid the long line ups. |
haven't been to plush since it was plush but it was fun for losing yourself in. personally, if im going to dance, i want to get sloshed and just lose myself in a crowd of people and just get it going. plush is dope for that cause there are just so many people. over priced but thats part of its thing. fabric is okay. people say its really asian but its not too fobby. girls were friendly enough to me and im fucking broke, so they couldnt be that fobbish. kind of a small venue. and as for the person who said it was safe or something i dont know about that. i always see fights and cops outside of fabric modern is just boring. set up tries to be all soho or something but it just sucks. vip is weak cause all your female friends will have people looking down their shirts all night. bathroom is tretcherous to get to after a few beers cause of the stairs. i hear people fuck in them but ive never seen that myself. probably wont go back soon. ive always wanted to go to the cellar but none of my friends are ever down. |
The Cecil on fri and sat nights is pretty bumpin. The do all out club nights on the weekends now. Plus they just did a bunch of really nice renovations to the place and the staff is awesome. |
^ isn't cecils a strip club? that would be crazy if you could dance with some strippers. but then their strippers are mediocore. |
to the op if i were i would go to boss cuz everyone's first clubbing experience is at ATL / BOSS . hence why everyone is so young there. |
Canvas Saturdays if you like house music, cover is $20? Gossip is A LOT better now compared to Plush...might just be the new decoration imo Celebs gets my vote, i enjoy their music and the co-ed bathrooms are always interesting :P |
If you have money Republic and Modern are the best. Their VIP people are always attentive and take care of everything for you. Best two club managers in the city as well... |
try big bamboo. ohh wait they are not open no more.. shows you how old i am. |

which is the best nightclub to start with? ie: i'd say Caprice or something similar - its the most generic clubbing you'll get in the city Which has the best service? Celebrities, hands down. Followed by somewhere like Canvas which club has the best crowd? overall atmospshere? Celebs Which club has long line ups/no line ups: lineups at Celebs are long/line ups at Gossip are short. Canvas has a unique vibe that is different than most of the other clubs in Vancouver, more NYC style - its open, nice VIP area, friendly staff, etc. Tunnel is like a shoebox, too small. Fabric has a unique vibe - cosy, it feels like a cave. Plus, Fabric has one of the best bottle service prices in the city. Modern is similar to that, but feels small. Gossip is an excellent venue for big events, but too big and open for regular nights out. Crush has a nice vibe to it and has a nice layout/furnishings - its one of the nicer clubs in terms of style and design. Republic has a nice layout, even though its a bit odd- the crowd there isnt so great though. Pop opera is small, but makes up for it I think. They did an excellent job styling the place. however Celebs still takes the cake - it has the best sound system, the best overall crowd feel, the best layout. But the lineups reflect that - if you show up at 12 on a Tuesday, you'll be outside for a looooong time. And its a gay club, which turns some people off. |

GMAN of gman&rizk is opening up a club of his own soon that will be the best nightclub in vancouver |
Mirage is a nice club to head to also if you're down for going to surrey, wide variety of songs and awesome service. Alot of the people in there seem to know each other though. |

not true, you should definitely check out the pictures we have uploaded by our photographer Kuna, to determine what type of crowd we have on saturdays yourself. Friday: Definitely Fabric with 600+ party people, and the club is ALWAYS packed and open until 3 AM Saturday: Mint, loungy, classy, with the finest stereo system in town, + one of the cheapest table service vancouver night clubs has to offer. drinks + no line + champaign + free cover for 10 ppl + vip lounge area for 400, where as gossip sells the same package for 900. (notice we offer the same service at fabric on fridays as well, and both services all ALWAYS old out a week before the event) crowd you may ask? sure its asian, but its definitely not crazy fobbed out as some described. |
If ur asian then go to Gossip I went in Jan and it was fun but damn do the asians and browns wanna fight. I guess it was sum kinda territory shit or sumtin cuz everyone was mean muggin. My group was like the only white ppl in there too.....was not really expecting that. But I had a great night...... was told to go to the plaza but now sumone in here says its shit so wats a club with a more mixed crowd? |
where's a good place for "whities" to go? younger 20's crowd not house/techno type stuff |
