^people wear either red, yellow or green to signify their (relationship) status at a club.

red= stop/not looking, yellow=undecided/open to the possibility, green= GO GO GO

Armind 03-27-2009 10:03 PM

I like Gossip and Aubar when my friend promotes there on long weekends :D

nice lots of different reviews for each club.

But I'm gonna give my review of what i thought of Canvas when i went yesterday. The setup, music, service and drinks i'll give it 10/10. But in all honesty, yes there was a mixed crowd but holy fuck was it lame, not alot of people were dancing. i was dancing and i didn't even bother asking cause holy shit i can't even talk to my friends unless i we were mouth to ear. Idk, I guess it was just that night that not alot of people where inside prolly cause of the junos was the next day? Also what didn't help was 3/4 of my friends couldn't make it which didn't help but i didn't care cause i thought i would be dancing and interacting with awesome people. but anyways i'm gonna say canvas isn't my type of scene.

I'm def gonna go to differ clubs and see how it is and which is best suited for me.

m4k4v4li 03-29-2009 09:37 PM

i agree with you on the dancing part tho. i think its because the floor is so small and lit up

blackjack101 03-29-2009 10:21 PM

what sucks is that most people dont play along and dress up for it

Aroc 03-31-2009 02:38 PM

are we talking about old school, or top 40?

Wild Coyote and Boss play some good tracks depends on if you like the venue or not. If it's top 40 that you're looking for step into any club in the lowermainland and you'll hear some. I've never been to shine so I can't comment about it.

blkgsr 04-01-2009 07:38 AM

what's Pop Opera like? where is it?

BoneThug 04-02-2009 12:30 AM

shine used to play nothing but old school rap and r&b mixed with enough new stuff to keep everything fresh but you def didnt go to shine to hear your fav song that you just heard on the radio. you go to hear your favorite songs from 10 years ago. lately i found it got techno'y. not surprised though. the crowd there is dope because of its assortment, but sketch for the same reasons.

Aroc 04-02-2009 02:11 PM

^^ thanks for the replies
What I was looking for was a place that plays 50% or more hip-hop/rap, thats either old school or top 40's .

^^ lol at crowd is sketch.... you mean alot of mean muggers??? or just people starting fights over nothing (damm rowdy people ruining peoples nights) haha...

is it still a sweat box in there? haven't been there for months now.

BlackV62K2 04-05-2009 07:28 PM

Not a fan of Fabric. Lots of people standing around thinking they're too cool. Then you have people that look like they dont even belong in a club. I personally wouldnt go there again.

I went to this party....It was dope... Women were amazing and I got smashed !

penner2k 04-10-2009 03:12 PM

I'd actually say Celebrities on Tuesdays is one of my favorite nights. Always have a good time there.
I like Mirage just cuz its convenient..

Girl 04-10-2009 04:08 PM

Agreed with Canvas, the place is good, but the lack of ppl dancing makes it kinda blah

I personally don't like the music at Fabric on Saturdays. Even when I was sloshed I thought to myself "wow the music is still shitty"

Truth is, Vancouver's night life sucks compared to other cities.

um, some people are on drugs. some people are just really scenester. i dunno, just sketchy is the only way to describe them. sometimes they make me really uncomfortable. some times they can be really cool. shine is just a shit mix like that. it works out for the better though.
