Help: Should I Be Concerned?

So I slept over at the gf's house last night as usual. Parked my car in the front of her house. Just now, her aunt told me that someone was taking close up pictures of my car at around 10:30am. First the back, then the front. Then the sides.

I have no frikkin' idea why she didn't notify me or any one else in the house or even ask the guy what he was doing. She said he was a young asian with glasses, about 5'5 or so. My car is an 04 TSX bone stock, except for front Prelude rims with snow tires and olympic plates.

Should I be concerned?
TIA

maybe he was taking pics to post in a spotted tsx thread on a tsx forum..?

Nvasion 03-15-2009 11:25 AM

ask ur aunt has she seen the camera guy before? maybe he lives near by and maybe u can ask ?

pandalove 03-15-2009 11:29 AM

i think u should leave ur car outside ur gf house for the entire day to bait that bitch out
if u didn't do anything illegal you got nothing to worry about

keep us updated.. i'm very interested in these sort of things :P

either that or hes taking pics to put in the hall of shame :P jkingg

I highly doubt it. There's nothing special about it. She said he was squatting and taking pics.

Nope, never seen him before. I'm pissed at her because she didn't call me as soon as she saw him. She was eyeing him for a good 2 minutes at least!

I'll definitely keep this post updated with any news I get regarding this incident. Any here on the local TSX forums able to check if there is such a post? Thanks.

watch out for spotted! im sure its nothing to be worried about

03aspec 03-15-2009 12:01 PM

lol if it was me, the last thing i would be afraid of is a 5'5 asian kid...

moomooCow 03-15-2009 12:11 PM

I don't understand why the guy would need indepth pictures of your stock car if he was planning on stealing it...?

That said, it does seem kinda sketch and I suggest a STAKE OUT1!! =]

BNR32_Coupe 03-15-2009 12:24 PM

maybe he has a prelude that had its rim stolen, and thinks it might be you. or the guy has beef with you and is a coward, he wants to fuk with your car instead of face to face

InvisibleSoul 03-15-2009 12:39 PM

Definitely sounds shady to me!

huck-jai 03-15-2009 12:46 PM

Rims are from my friend's prelude which he still has, so I'm not concerned if the person reports that I could have stolen those. And I can't think of anyone that would have beef with me. I rarely go out partying or places with a lot of people nor do I associate with multiple groups of people. Now, I really wish that i was notified so I could have confronted the guy. Oh well, can't do much now but wait and see if anything happens.

!Tigger 03-15-2009 02:03 PM

maybe he told someone he had a TSX... so he took pics of a random one

Maybe she was afraid of walking in on the two of you? :lol Or awkward whatever the hell you 2 may be doing.

I would wait as well.

HonestTea 03-15-2009 03:01 PM

damn that's pretty shady..

Hondaracer 03-15-2009 03:46 PM

maybe your gf's aunt is just tripping out

what would be the point of taking "close up pictures" ? especially if your car is just stock

maybe he just wants a TSX and was taking big shots of it?

k20a 03-15-2009 03:51 PM

Maybe somebody is practicing their photoshooting skills. Somebody has to start somewhere. hahah

rsx 03-15-2009 03:58 PM

you rarely see a tsx with lude rims, maybe he just liked/disliked what he saw and decided to take pics.

azzurro32 03-15-2009 08:14 PM

he prob has to make a model or art drawing of your type of car and needs pictures to go off of.

taking detailed pictures at 1030am sounds more what a hobbyist might do, not someone to be worried about.

that's what i'm thinking too. if there was any beef he would have left a note under your wiper.

Or a nice dent on the door

achiam 03-16-2009 10:47 AM

Given the gang war happening. I'd be freaked out and the first thing I'd suspect is that someone was scoping my car out for a hit! I'd change your plates ASAP to something that will tell them its not who they're looking for. Like, [ILUVPHO]

getalove 03-16-2009 10:54 AM

or [GOTBEEF]

Ferra 03-16-2009 12:23 PM

probably just from a guys who also has a tsx and planning to change his rim...he probably thought your rim looked nice on the tsx so he took some photos home to compare..

Photographing Cars

I found it odd when on Friday I was at the insurance place at the corner of 6 and Kingsway in New West and when leaving I checked left and saw a woman photographing a car and when I drove to the right I saw a guy photographing a car in a driveway. He looked at me as I drove past with a weird look-like I was catching him at something. Or I could be reading too much into it.

He didn't exactly look "gangsta". Maybe a touch more "Arnold Palma"?
