help with ebay/paypal

Essentially my ebay account was linked with an old paypal account that got locked a year ago. I recently put an item up for sale, and totally forgot to change my account profile to the new paypal account.

Now I'm worried that the buyer from mexico (who's english is a little weak) has already payed to a locked paypal account and not to the invoice I sent him after.

What can I do?

if it's locked then the customer cannot pay unless you mean your paypal is not locked has a negative balance in which tell him to file a reversal to get his money back BUT pay your new account (but that sounds incredibly shady for any customer).

my original paypal account is locked, and this account was linked to my ebay. I sent an invoice with the new one. But when a customer pays, does it show up on ebay that he paid to paypal through ebay?

Yes, it should indicate that payment was made, seeing as how paypal and ebay are 100% linked. I also know that recently there have been a TON of false bidding going on. My friend in California just listed two iphones on ebay, and both of them are claiming they made payments, and that he should ship the products right away, but there is absolutely no record of payment from paypal.

if it's locked the payment cannot go through to paypal (at least through personal experience). also try to make another account soon, they eventually shut down linked accounts whether it be 6 months or 2 years later.
