| SFU Course Help : Eng 101 or Eng 105 and Cmpt 165 for Summer?
Has anyone taken these courses yet because I am thinking which one to take for the SFU summer semester? What are the disadvantages and advantages of both? Does it depend on the prof? And are both courses pretty much even in the amount of reading and writing involved? Which one is more interesting? Please, any opinions on these topics would help very much! I am also considering Phil 001, 100 or 120. I doubt any of these courses are considered gpa boosters On another side note, im planning on taking Cmpt 165 in the summer to fulfill my B-Sc. Any thoughts on what you guys think would be very much appreciated. thanks

Do you want us to tell you how to shit and pee as well? Take what YOU think is interesting. Some people might find quantum physics easy, some might find english easy. It's all up to who ever is taking the course.
Pick what you want, or classes won't be interesting and you will end up doing pretty bad. But relax, you're only in first year.

cmpt 165 is easy if your not doing distance ed. i don't recommend any phil courses at all unless you love seeing your gpa drop lol. i took xx1 and the reading is light but the exams are fucking retarded.

im in the bba program right now and i am taking what im interested in but i gotta fullfill my b-hum and b-sc requirements and it's kinda hard for me to find something interesting for b-hum and b-sc. Plus, I'm not the greatest writer and just wanted an idea on how eng 101 and 105 were ... But yea I agree. it is only my first year.

i don't see how this thread is going to help you... you should do it on your own preference... I've taken eng 105 and cmpt 165 but they're both different i mean one's english and one's comp sci... and i've taken phil 100 as well... which is again.. different...
i don't know if these are electives or not for you but if you're having this much trouble deciding a 100 level course then god help you with the remainders..
hint.. they're all easy courses but obviously cmpt 165 was the easiest for me since i'm comp sci major...

Cmpt 165 is the easiest course you'll ever take. Don't take phil unless you have to. Both phil courses I took (phil xx1 and phil 120) were the lowest grades I ever got in university and I have a pretty high gpa... so yeah.

Seeing that this is a "SFU Course Help" thread, I was wondering if any of you know any easy Quantitative courses offered during the summer. I nearly forgot that I still need three credits towards my Q... -_-"
Sorry for hijacking the thread, OP.

Kin 110 is hard distance ed! especially if you want an A. Engl 105 is alot of reading (1 text, 6 novels), but if you don't mind reading its a good course

My prof was penny deck.
