Data Usage Question

I downloaded a program for my HTC Diamond to track data usage in MB since I only have 500MB of data to use per month. Now prior to uninstalling it, it said that I had used about 16MB for the time period that I had it (about 4-5 days), meaning that it's probably even more for the days I didn't have it. But the weird thing is that Bell says I've only used like 1.03MB, so I'm really confused.

Thanks,
Bernie

It takes a few days for the billing system to get up to speed with your current usage. What happens is that your phone will generate log files in the switch and then it gets sent to the billing system for usage statistics. It generally takes a few hours to a few days for it to generate properly.

The text messages from TCARE says that it doesn't include the last 2 hours, so is it safe to assume then that after 2 hours, whatever TCARE/Bell website says is accurate?

Does Bell have a "warning system" in place, where they will send you a text when you're near your limit?

Kinda OT: But 500MB is a lot, unless you're constantly downloading large files and streaming.
I have the Rogers 6GB plan, and my usage averages 300MB/mo. This includes surfing the web for an hour a day, push email, and the occasional youtube video.

if you're cutting it so close to your 500MB limit that you have to monitor it, I would upgrade your data plan...
