I know someone posted about receiving this text in the shooting thread so I thought I would post it in the main section so others know it's bullshit.

Vancouver police issue advisory about text message hoax

Have you received a text message about a gang initiation shooting that will take place at a Wal Mart?


Vancouver police are advising the public that the text message is an apparent hoax that has been circulating across Canada and the United States since 2005.


In a news release, police say that the text is generic and does not specify a time or location.


The Vancouver police say they have been receiving many calls from concerned cell phone subscribers.
