Well, it's not so much the fact of current but it could be the fact that they used to do something or was involved with something illegal a short time ago but maybe turned a leaf? Whatever the reason, anything you admit to, they could use it and prosecute you instead! LOL

I think it's a good thing that they're loosening the rules a little. Not too much. I had a friend apply and got far in the training but got turned down because they have smoked a joint before.

That's pretty dumb IMO. He is a really law abiding citizen and I think he would've made a good cop.
