i hate hiding stuff instead of properly doing the right thing, but with the limited time i have these days i don't think i can find the time to cut polish out the mess on my car and hope to hide (gasp!) everything with this product :o

can this stuff cover up scratches (ie. not from buffing)? i have some scratches from someone brushing up against the paint... it won't hand buff out, it dosen't really catch my fingernail, but it shows up white against my black paint :cry:

How/What do you use to polish the exhaust? Mine is just as dirty.

Start with some Autoglym Intensive Tar Remover if you have tar deposits that have baked onto the tips. After that, you can use Autosol with a soft MF if you have chrome tips or Autosol with 0000 steel wool if your exhaust is stainless. Finish up with a soft MF and a metal polish like NXT or Blackfire All Metal Sealant.:thumbsup:

ken... what about chrome tips that are baked because of running with no cat? mine are pretty cooked :o

Have you got a pic by any chance? Although 0000 steel wool is very fine, I have seen it scratch some chrome. The same can be done with Autosol or other abrasive polishes. My suggestion would be to try an area on the underside of the tip and see what happens. If it does remove it but leaves some fine lines, go over it with Autosol and a MF and then a finishing polish and MF and this should remove most if not all of the scratches. The same method can be done for the inside of the tips. Its tedious work but the end results are great.
