HELP my computer keeps restarting!

my computer restarts by its self.
i ran a virus scan and it didnt find anything.

any idea as to what may be wrong, or what i may need to replace!??!

HELP!

Check your fans to see if it's restarting due to overheating. Turn off automatic restart as well if you're getting a split-second blue screen.

when does it restart by itself?
hdd failure is a possibility
could be an over usage of memory

there is no specific time it restarts. i just does it unexpectedly.
does this mean i just need to buy more ram?

i think im just going to backup my hd and then format and get more ram. is there anything else i should upgrade to prevent this from happening in the future?

test your power supply. It happened to me last month. Random restart + Random Shutdown.
