I thought all gas is pretty much the same at a given octane rating.

but all companies put different additives in their gas.

I know of a Petro that has 87, 89, 91, and 94...

As for 7-11, I know there is a straight-up 7-11 GAS station/convenience store on Burnside/Interurban in Victoria. It isn't attached to a petro, chev, or esso.

FYI, I know the Co-ops get their gas from Shell/Columbia Fuels.

Superstore 87 octane > ALL

/end thread

In Metro Vancouver, it's pretty safe to assume all gasoline comes from the same source... maybe a few exceptions out there, but they will be few and far between.

Here's an (albeit old) article about the refinery... so you can learn something from this thread:

i still use chevron when i can, and will look for that gas.

2nd would be esso.

3rd petro

i tried husky/mohawk before, and my prelude stalled several times...
i tried saveongas, and well, never again.

i tried costco gas, dont like it because it uses debit, i like using the cc to gain the points.

Does anyone still remember the Big Bucks Coupons and Free Slurpee's with a fuel up @ 7-11 back then ?:D

They still have Big Bucks at the 7-Eleven branded stations... like the one at Knight and 33rd.

Does anyone know what the local Costco gas is??

I'm half tempted to try it. The g/f's car seems to run fine on it... although my car seems to love the 90 octane at Mohawk/Husky, and it's at the price of 87. Everyone seems surprized when I tell them my car runs great on Mohawk/Husky.

HUSKY!! 90 OCTANE!!

billboa 04-06-2009 10:44 AM

i like shell. last time i went to the states i stopped at the supper dupper in sumas like 2 mins after the border they have 100 octane gas at 3.99 a gallon.

Manic! 04-06-2009 11:46 PM

If a 7-11 is branded Esso it gets the same gas as every other Esso same goes for the one branded Petro Canada. Also no gas station is selling year old gas. Why would a gas depot store gas for a year before they deliver it to a station.

For those people running 94 octane you are just wasting your money unless your car was tunned to run on 94 octane.

umpadupa 04-07-2009 08:19 AM

^ LOL i just use 90 cuz thats Husky's lowest LOL
