i believe the source is ridiculously overpriced for any electronics stuff, passive components and solder, etc. but they sell el cheapo $10 solders if you need one.

I've got a soldering iron. (Joined IEEE which gives me access to one)
I dont really need that much. Is there a difference in soldering material?
Edit: not much as in, maybe 5 inches worth of solder.

Shure E2C's. They're not bad after u buy foamies from construction stores. http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f103/h...o-pics-383917/
I just want to get practice in for anything I'll want to make in the future.
edit: I looked up cardas solder, here's a thread on what some people think. http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f133/solder-413909/

both cdn | Interconnects are easy. Learn by trial and error! It's just a couple of pieces of skin. I used to make my own RCA's and mini-minis out of Starquad and Canare connectors.. the F12 is a BEAST of a connector. It was funny when I had it connected to my iPod Shuffle -> Tomahawk because it would dwarf the actual MP3 player...
For local shopping I'd go to Main Electronics - quite a complete store.
