That's unfortunately the crux of the matter. An animal we perceive to be cute, no matter if it's causing troubles or whatnot, should automatically be immune from any form of death... at least according to those who can't think beyond the two cells in their brain.

Actually, I'd imagine the issue has more to do with the way the seals are getting killed.

Getting shot between the eyes (cow) or electrocuted (chicken) would probably be a whole lot less painful than getting clobbered in the head (seal).

If it was really endangered, don't you think the government would of did something by now lol.

even if the government did step in, doesn't mean it's going to stop.

i dont see ppl shedding their stupid tears in a restaurant, awww this poor goat just got killed and its now on my plate. They may be a source of meat to human but hey they are animals too. What difference is there between seal and cows? hmmm lets see, they are both animals? and not human?



got mixed up with seal and sea gulls for a sec, i was thinking wtf? why are ppl protecting seal gulls? those motherfuckers can die, attacking me when im on the roof, fuck sea gulls.

The seals are taking over eating all the fish. That's why they have to club them to help control the population so it doesn't get out of control.

actually it's been documented several times, where the government has a bias towards putting animals onto the endangered species list if there is a business for it.

eg. north atlantic cod, common food, big market, driven to brink of extinction,but not on the endangered list yet.

Actually, I believe alot of peoples issues with the killing of seals is how they are killed. If they weren't clubbed to death with a fucking axe, I dont see it being such a large issue. If they were simply given a shot of something that put them to sleep and then they died peacefully, I don't think everyone would be up in arms roar.
