Well that's what happened to me before it's their form of friendliness to an stranger/potential member or forced conversion/ it's time to get the hell out of there under my terms and this all started cuz of an innocent looking bbq event photos my bud showed with several jb's ...............

The JBs were the....bait. ahahahah Terrible. :( But yeah, I know what you mean. Sometimes makes me want to smack them. They're waaaay too overbearing, can be rather insensitive and end up missing their own point. Good-hearted people, but sometimes ignorant of...a lot of things. Tragic, but there are still many who are cool about everything and differences and all that AND aren't creepy stalkers. :p

lol, I can attest to it. They will start calling u to go to every event. If 'r weak minded, u'll get suckered into helping them & eventually it consume all ur free time. After that, u'll try to convince ur frds to participate with u & the cycle repeats & repeats & repeats .................................................. ....................

WTF does that mean? Play what? If you're only there for the ladies, then it IS sad.

Never tried myself, but I heard if you wanna meet girls at those things, the non-Sunday events are the way to go (like Friday/Saturday social events hosted by the church). From what I hear, generally only 50% or so of the people you'll meet there are church regulars. The others are just there to chill or whatnot. I dunno what the proportion of females would be though. Maybe someone can chime in?

My sister met a bunch of (non-church) friends that way, she just went to play volleyball with one of her church-going girlfriends.

Well I wouldn't say they actually stalk me maybe keeping tabs on me from a distance :) Well they didn't fair too well with their JB tactics :D and I actually dated a few of those JB's in the past and they failed to convert me to join them ;) and the hardest part would be when you break up with these JB's and everyone would consider you as the jerk that dumped the JB no matter what happened which led to the break up. Well I just wanted to let sam_malone or joe45 know that going for girls @ church isn't the easy way out that he was hoping for.

Yeah that's the word for it good ol' Fellowship bring back memories for me :D FYI: I never went to their Sunday Service ;) I only went to Friday nights and Random Events like Gym Nights, Outdoor Events etc......

You said it, sir. Been there, done that, still standing my ground LOL haha I think that's more a thing with closely-knit Asian communities more than that fact they are churches; they just happen to be churches.
