aircare question i know it says 2003 and newer model year vehicles dont need aircare and 2002 model year vehicles will need aircare but is there anyway around it if the vehicle was manufactured in the middle of 2003? im guessing no but figured id ask |
It goes by the model year of the car. There is no way a car manufactured in the middle of 2003 would be a 2002 model year car. |

but ye i didnt think they'd go by year of manufacture |
What's the 10th digit on the VIN? If it's manufactured 03/03, it should be 3. If it's 2, suck it up and pay the $45. |
well i already went damn 45$ so he can plug something into the bottom of my dash for 2seconds -_- |
10th digit is model year, build date is on the b pillar sticker |
Any 2002 cars or older (01, 00, 99), will require aircare. 1991 and older = every yr; 1992 + = every 2 yrs Any 2003 cars will start to need aircare starting from Jan 1, 2010. |
They better get rid of aircare in the next year, i dont' wanna deal with that crap |
The current Aircare contact runs til the end of 2011... so I somehow suspect it WON'T be going anywhere before then. |
