Not really, any city worth nuking is close enough to an American city that we're covered by default.

However, in the event of a nuclear war, doesn't matter if we have them or not, we're all fucked anyways. Unless something has changed, the protocols as far as I've read are still once one nuke goes off on anything important, the shit's just going to start flying from everywhere to the point of nuclear winter anyways.
