Felt the same way.. thought maybe the story was sucking so much cause i was too baked, but from the sound of it everybody thought the story sucked.

man... the concepts and visuals were mind blowing, possibilities for an epic movie were endless, but they had to go and fuck up the storyline so bad.

could've easily milked the concept for hundreds of millions

Short little "making of" TRON in HD *SPOILERS* :

Really cool to see the CGI backgrounds, etc.

Just saw it...Effects and Daft Punk's sound track are awesome, Chicks are hot (Olivia Wilde and Beau Garrett. But the acting an script is so retarded and stupid.

Castor (Michael Sheen) and Daft Punk steal the show!

It's amazing how much more actors have to act when they're surrounded by literally nothing more than a blue screen and a couple of taped lines. You have to imagine literally everything happening around you instead of reacting to a real environment.

That's a neat video, though. I'm really looking forward to seeing all the extras on the Bluray dvd when it comes out.

I saw this the other night and as someone who grew up with the original Tron I love this film. There are so many references to the original and they do it in a such a subtle way compared to something like the Star Wars prequels. Daft Punk produced the soundtrack - it was excellent and did a great job putting me back in the 80's Tron universe. I really believe the music in the film deserves oscar nomination at the least as it was one of the best soundtracks I've heard in a long time.

and the only people I've encountered who have seen the film and disliked it had never seen the original - who goes and see's a 29 yr old sequel without watching the original
