Toei Animation has confirmed that Dragon Ball Kai will be edited to more closely follow Akira Toriyama's original manga. The Dragon Ball Z anime series originally ran from April 1989 to January 1996 in Japan. However, since Toriyama was still serializing his manga at the same time in shorter weekly installments, the Dragon Ball Z anime expanded its story by inserting additional content. The new Dragon Ball Kai remastering will be an "Akira Toriyama original cut edition" that will quicken the story presentation and adhere more with the manga's story. Toei has said that they are planning on cutting the series down to around 100 episodes. (Anime News Network)

and the series will run a much faster/fluid pace rather than having the

trash talk to two episodes of shitting to 5min of fighting to more trashtalking to 5episodes of shitting repeat*

as long as its not 4 episodes to charge spirit bomb, 5 episodes to throw it, and 3 episode for impact

aww nutz... here i thought they completely re-drew the series to look like what the opening theme gave us

but it was just the old series retouched :/ still nice though

i made the mistake of watching dubbed dbz episodes on tv... totally ruined it for me. will watching subbed be any better?

The series is actually only 100 episodes long (101 I think).
They are sticking to ACTUAL manga material as close as possible. No filler crap like the original of 291 episodes.

The japanese voice actors are sooooooooooo annoying, I couldn't watch it.

iam so happy.. finally i can see it all from the beginning LOL all 200+ episodes! i hope they remaster Dragon ball the classic series and DB GT.. i'll die happy knowing i watched DBZ in HD LOL
