What's wrong with my phone line?!?!

Problem started about a month ago, I've done nothing to my phones, etc...

Outgoing calls, everything is fine.
Incoming calls, about 1/3 of my calls do not get through (random!).

On my side, the phone rings twice, pause, rings again, but if I pick up the phone at any time, there is nobody on the other line. Also, normally caller ID shows up when people call me, but when the problem happens, it just says "incoming call". I don't think it's a problem with my phone (Panasonic 3-set cordless) b/c even if I try answering with an old-school corded phone, it still doesn't work.

On the calling side (I tried calling my home number with my cell phone), the phone just rings until my Telus voicemail picks up (even if I pick up my home phone, it just continues to ring). My answering machine is set to pick up after 4 rings, I have Telus voicemail included which I don't normally use, but is set to pick up after 5 rings. So basically, it bypasses my answering machine...however, sometimes if somebody picks up the home line, the line just goes dead (e.g. stops ringing, but can't hear any voices).
Any ideas?! Or do I have to call Telus and get somebody in to repair my lines...
