EI payments

Anyone know how long after you file it usually takes to actually get money?
I'm not talking about the waiting period. I'm talking about once you are past that.

Waiting period is a month or so, once you do your report on say a Friday, you should have a cheque monday or early tuesday.

You file the morning of every second Friday and get the money by the next Tuesday (Unless its a holiday weekend which sometimes delays things a day)

Filing is always the same. Always the same series of questions. I've never been called in for an interview/audit but I had a friend who was laid off from the same company who was.

They asked him for a list of places he had applied and other generic questions. Its kind of like when you're on welfare (if anyone here has been on welfare which isn't likely) where they want to know who you've been trying to get jobs with.

Sorry to hear that you've been laid off, Pen2k. gl in the job hunt.
