Ezekiel 25:17. The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.

by keeping the car in better shape such as proof of using fully synthetic oil+filter...
hmm... so does this mean GM is providing free oil changes and car maintainance?

Its funny how almost every other automaker stresses the value, technology, or safety of their vehicles while the Americans can only come up with these gimmicks LOL. Pathetic.

I remember hearing this commerical on TV. I think it was in the chinese channel and it was a ford commercial. what was funny was in the end they said something about "ford's quality is on par with toyota". thats such a compliment to toyota in a fords commercial haha. if I heard that I'd say "ok i'll just buy a toyota then"

anyone else heard of that one?

I saw a commercial which said, "Ford's quality is now on par with Honda and Toyota."

I was thinking is that a complement or insult to Honda and Toyota, lol

I wouldn't doubt a brand new Ford's reliability would be on par with H & T but GM....? If only they sit the fuck down and come to a final state of the situation FAST I can't imagine anyone having confidence buying their product.

I mean imagine you bought a Pontiac last week ..... WTF? How is that going to inspire confidence....like at all?

Last week.. you paid too much. This week, however... if it's something like a Solstice GXP, it could actually appreciate in value if there's no others around...

Someone posted this link on one of the other forums I'm on: http://jalopnik.com/5229443/the-ten-greatest-pontiacs

I wish I could find me a 59 Bonneville... that thing is SWEET!

GM = Generally Mismanaged.

What? Let's look at it's Jeep brand.... Remember when you were a kid and a Jeep was a single type of car that looked like a YJ? Well why do they have 7 different cars in that brand today? Because Joe six-pack wants a choice!

Why does the Cadillac brand need 6 different cars, why not just make 3? a SEDAN, an SUV and a ROADSTER. Because Joe six-pack wants a choice!

Well Joe six-pack has made it's choice, and it's anything but GM. Take a look at the cars parked on your block, or driving around you on your way home.... It's clearly obvious that at least 80% of the people in North America have chosen to purchase from an automaker that was not GM.

GM needs to cut the shit and reduce the number of models under it's belt. Cutting Pontiac as a whole was a great start but there's still lots to go.

GM = Generally Mismanaged. <--- totally agree.

they had all the time and money to fix their problems. it's not like Toyota took them by surprise.

They promoted leasing programs and built cars that fall apart after 2years, so they can convince the customer to lease a new one upon returning the pos. Looks great on sales volume and keeps the union labors fed, and they sit and laugh at the Japanese for building reliable cars that won't die.

well, buyers are rational and reputation/resale value counts, so now US automakers are paying the price.

we should really see how many rs members actually feel confident in buying GM vehicles with the total package, but too bad we can't do polls anymore.

I sure don't feel confident than before.

No doubt. "Our competitors were much better than our brand but we've finally caught up."

You give GM too much credit. Considering I can quickly think of well over a dozen automakers, 20% would be a commanding market share.

I love how people on RS like to make up statistics

When the North American economy is even further down the shitter... I will blame all you anti-domestic people who shop at Wal-Mart. Thanks for ruining the economy my parents helped build!

I'm moving to India.

I would have supported the "North American Economy" and bought a domestic, but I realized I just couldn't lower my standards enough...
