A male who enjoys having someone to talk openly about intimate jokes would be the one to pick up the phone and call her, and if the feeling was mutual they would both call each other as friends.

However, in this case it doesn't seem like he really wants to talk to her while she wants to, thus she calls him and not the other way around.

OP I'm in your shoes, sorta. I do my best to act neutral because I don't wanna be a dick but every time I talk to her on msn or phone or text message, I find myself bothered and restless and ready to just tell her to fuck off.

just avoid the call, i know it's hard to not pick up and usually u would pick up as first instinct because ive been there done that lol...but really try, it takes tremendous amt of effort to do that and i know it could be extremely hard but if u can past that u'll live a happy man i guarantee, and don't let her bug u anymore with thinking of her and stuff, it's only becuase u got use to her and now without u miss it and really if u take the time and effort to take that habit off, ur good to go =)
