Is this laptop okay for basic use? ////. |
Why not get a netbook? They can do all the stuff you want, and it's easier to tote around compared to a full size notebook. |
^ +1. :) I posted in netbook thread already.... Just got a pink Aspire One 160GB/1GB/XP Home/3Cell for $280 from staples with $50 off coupon and it was delivered within 24 hours. Other colors are $10 more I believe. NCIX has U100 for 2 batteries (9 cells[6.5 hours] + 3 cells [90minutes]) for $419 this week starting today. |

I got the same one. Was looking at a netbook but the screen is too small. Works with one gig but I later added 2 more gigs for $25. Paid $399 plus taxes @ Best Buy. |
Vista is the main thing I would stay away. :p Battery life is much longer on netbook with 6 cell. But if you don't mind the weight (more than 2x heavier), then sure, it's a good price too. :) |
its not bad... but pretty slow |

it won't be slower than the atom cpu. Just learn how to keep your system clean, and you won't have any trouble. 4400mAh and 6 cell won't last longer than nettop with same battery, if you don't carry it around often, then this one is a very good choice |
