Activesync will not give me back my contacts after reflash: HTC Touch Diamond

hey gais,

so I usually back up my contacts and calendar with Activesync with my phone I thought that's pretty safe and stuff....

and then recently I found a hacked ROM for my phone that's entirely awesome but upon completing the reflashing the activesync "thinks" that this is a whole different phone and when I sync it it doesn't release the previous contact list back into the phone.

So I have no contacts in the phone anymore, which sucks big time....Anyone tried this and found a solution to recall all contacts from the Activesync program? Thanks.

go to activesync, delete whatever phone found in there (file, delete mobile device) do all of this with your touch diamond unhooked from pc. Then go to your touch diamond, launch activesync, also make sure that it have no pc to sync with, if there's any delete it.
Lastly, try to rename your phone (start, settings, system, about, device ID) with some other name that you've never used before.
once you did that, reconnect the phone with your pc.. activesync should work fine now, it'll ask whether you want to sync with your phone etc..

Did you set activesync as your cell phone always wins if there's a conflict?, if yes then that might be why since your device overruled the outlook.
I've been reflashing my phone numerous times and never had a problem with my outlook contacts being wiped out.

it should ask you when the first connection is made when both pc & mobile doesn't have any info of each other. But I guess it's a bit too late now... since all of your contacts is gone and I assume you've never did any backup of your contact list either?
