Just purchased my first home :)

Yay! Market the way it is, I got a pretty good deal and I'm happy to be buying right now. Mortgage is cheaper than where I'm renting right now.

It's a townhouse, these pics are from the realtor so not my stuff in the pics. The kids room is the master, the lady had 2 kids so they got the bigger room.

The dining table, chairs, and barstools in the pics are mine though, they were a condition of my offer hahaha

Hard to see in these pics, but the kitchen and dining area is all recent new tile, kitchen was all redone.

Congrats Coal, we just had our one year anniversary in our place, and it sure feels good. I wish my kitchen had been that nice to begin with but I'll be very proud of it when it's finally complete.

I believe he's up island AJL, townhouses in the CRD should be well below $300k for something livable now.

congrats Coal, I bought 18months and happy we did! I wish my kitchen was as nice as yours to start with, I am now in the starting of phase of redoing our place. What area did you buy in?
Its a great time to buy if you can afford it, rates, prices and choices are in the buyers favour right now

It's in central Parksville, short walk from work.

I've yet to figure out where to store the Stealth and my tools, etc lol. Semi-permanent residence at my parents currently.

That would drive me crazy, when we bought our place it was 3 weeks from the time we signed the deal to the time we moved in and I found that time ruthless!

Before i bought my place, we had an accepted offer on a different one. The deal was to be final in the middle of march, but they wanted the possesion date as the 16th of june.

Needless to say, that was one of the reasons the deal fell through.

Not the worst idea, I'll have to invite some peeps over for a BBQ or something. No one wants to come to Parksville though, so it's a hard one haha.
