	   | Another motorcycle accident on Granville St.

			2nd accident already....
Granville Street was closed in both directions at about 9 p.m. on Thursday after a crash between a car and a motorcycle near 33rd Avenue. Traffic is being rerouted onto other roads.

I vividly remember last years picture of a green motorcycle smashed to bits by 33rd and granville. They had to pick the guy up in pieces.
Hah, just read the entire post.. this one was also on 33rd.

Ezekiel 25:17. The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.

what's the deal with people dying on granville?
 Are the bikers speeding?

Are they getting hit from people running reds?

Are they trying to run the yellow?

 | Considering that when you get hit on a bike, your chances of dying increases exponentially.
One fault, driver or biker, will likely cause a huge injury if not death to the biker where the driver can walk away without a scratch.

 | In my friends case, it was at night and an elderly couple claimed to not see him and turned right into him. In fact, #1 cause of vehicle/motorcycle accidents is left turning cars.

I borrow my dads bike every now and again but as far as buying myself another bike and riding more often I wonder if it's really worth the risk.

in contemplation with myself on this issue too.

damn... i actually think getting hit on a bike is more dangerous than walking because of the amount of speed both vehicle carries

I've seen drivers taking left turns and nearly causing an accident with an oncoming bike because they misjudge the speed of the oncoming bike.

On the other hand being careful with my life like me I get a RHD car.
That saved my ass from blind left turning idiots.

I ride with that mindset of "everyone is out to kill me" at any given moment. It isn't just intersections. But this is the main reason why I'm starting to go to the track to ride. Too many blind drivers out there. I just did Track Days at Mission on friday. I loved it.

I hate driving on Granville as it is, can't imagine riding on it. Everyone speeds on Granville. Not just speed but often going 30-40kph over.

Years ago i saw a guy on a bike get hit from behind. He was waiting to take a right turn into a parking lot and the guy smoked him from behind by a truck. I was suprised the guy got up and was able to walk, he literally flew off his bike and flew about 25-30 ft away.
