I'm amazed the NSX still looks like a exotic super car in 2014 the best part is
its affordable to the average joe.

affordable to the avergae joe? just fyi prices for one as clean as that START at about 55k

average for richmond maybe, but definitely no joe that i know of.

pingu81 06-24-2014 10:53 PM

Don't forget upkeep (maintenance). Stuff will break sooner or later and it isn't just a matter of buying your regular "Honda Parts".

boostfever 06-24-2014 11:19 PM

How did the "average Joe" end up in the same sentence with an NSX?

wait it's Shark Tank posting :fuckthatshit:

Higher mileage ones 1st gen in mint condition go for 30-40K CDN
Yes mint, 2nd gen, low mileage, 1 owner pristine examples are 50K CDN & up

Just do your due diligence and shop and you can always find the right car if you are patient enough.

Used Acura NSX-T Coupe in Woodbridge - Pfaff Group

You need to add a few thou to those numbers.

Remember, this is coming from Shark Tank's "Baller point of of view". He's an "entrepreneur".

Lol Most people who do their "due diligence" are looking for mint examples, not high mileage rat bagged garbage...

There is a big difference between finding a good deal, and finding a cheap deal.

if you spend 30k on an NSX, you bought the cheapest piece of shit ever, it won't be nearly as clean as the Designo one, or the red one that often comes to meets.

Is something wrong with SharkTank?? Says outlandish things quite a bit.

^^ I'm pretty sure he has an inferiority complex

G 06-25-2014 09:36 AM

This thread has turned into the Porsche enthusiast + fail SharkTank show.

he's just a young kid who obviously comes from a comfortable home, OR has delusions of grandeur (ie: taking pictures of himself in a blazer in front of other peoples mansions :p )

That NSeX looks amazing. Perfect color too. Love the white on white wheels.

Who is your friend? There is only one owner at that dealership, and I've been working with him for 4 years. The silver 1996 is a canadian car with only 76k kms. It's a true collector piece. It has sport seats as well.

The black on cashmere is a car I just brought up from Boston area, and the 95 C2 is from Hawaii.

Maybe you're the "part" owner! :o

The power of RS brings friends together online!

Hondaracer 06-25-2014 02:41 PM

If I had 55k no way in hell I'm using it to buy an NSX

Hello newer gen Z06

That pretty much the crux of it. The 90s cars NSX, 993 etc are all at the 60ish range (higher as I think you really should do a refurbishment when you taken delivery). You get more choices, as newer cars are on their early on in their depreciation curves.

From a performance standout, totally agree with you. However nsxs and 993s are going up in value while a c6 zo6 will be worth 30k in 3 yrs. I would love to get a high mileage nsx because Then I wouldn't feel guilty driving it all the time

Hondaracer 06-25-2014 04:47 PM

Yea I dunno to me the NSX has started to show it's age while the 993's etc are essentially timeless

Z3guy 06-25-2014 05:06 PM

^ must be showing my age, the nsx is starting to look dated, but the body shape is the first Japanese car to have lines like an exotic. I love 993s, but they just aren't that special to me. I love driving cars, not necessary collecting them. Flame suit on, I would rather pick up a 2002-04 996 c4s for $30k instead of a high mileage 993 for $80k

Different stroke for different folks. Most people would choose a aventador/458 over a Porsche Turbo. I would absolutely pick the Turbo just for the sleeper aspect. Being inconspicuous is a good thing

Afraid of this happening if I drove a Ferrari or Lambo:
