there's a shoe repair place in harbour centre (if you're near downtown) It's at food fair level.

Generally speaking, you can only really resole dress type shoes. Your sneakers, etc. aren't exactly leather/high quality shoes.

Whats a ballpark cost for a shoe/boot resole? Are they only able to do it for shoes that have the leather stitched onto the sole, and not the type of shoes that have the sole wrap up and around the shoe and is glued on?

See, now when people say shoes, I generally think my sneakers.

However, those leathery dress shoes seem like they'd be a bitch too.

I wonder how they do it? time to find an ep of how it's made...

There's a cobbler named Henry in Little India on the NW corner of Main and 49th. Very reasonable... at least for the leather work/repairs my family has gone there for.

Try Ernie's Shoe Repair on Kingsway and Earls. An old Chinese guy runs the place and he knows his stuff. It cost me about $30 to get a pair of loafers re-soled and re-heeled.

For dress shoes, definitely invest in at least one classic pair (Oxfords, wing-tips/brogues, etc.) of leather-soled shoes. If you take care of them, they'll last a long time.
