eBay closing Burnaby call centre BURNABY (NEWS1130) - The local economy is taking a hit, as eBay says it will close its call centre in Burnaby. The company says 700 local jobs will be lost as the online marketplace consolidates its operations. eBay says it will increase the number of workers at its Salt Lake City call centre--which has more than 900 customer service agents--and at other offices around the globe. eBay says the Burnaby call centre will close at the end of September. |

Well ebay is a losing model, dont think it's due just to the economy. |
Yup, eBay is failing big time. They keep hiking their fees, sellers and buyers are moving on and they can't find any new ways to generate revenue. |
What's gonna take over? ioffer? lol |
