my little dog is now 12 and she used to hear me whisper from far but now her hearing isn't as good as it used to be. her strength is still there but still makes me sad thinking about how she has a few years left in her |

Hmmm, i met a customer once who said his one dog died at 24 and when i was there he said the other was 21, i asked him how they lived so long and he told me they were only fed fresh food nothing canned. Maybe he was bs'ing on the age though who knows.

It's great to see dog owners taking up the responsibility and take great care of their pets. The longevity of this dog "Chanel" is what the owner got in return.

Big dogs don't live very long. Like St. Bernards, Great Danes live up to about 7-12 years but those are freak'n huge ass dogs! :P It really depends on how u treat them (stress is the biggest factor). My friends Golden Retriever passed away at 19 which is very very rare (avg. 12-15) My dog is 14 and runs around like a 3 year old but his hearing is going though...
And as for the age formula, 7 years is not correct. its 10.5 years for the first cpl years then 4 years for then on.
