Places in GVRD where drivers often do stupid things and piss me off It's Friday, and instead of doing work, I will bitch. Don't know how else better to say it than in the title... These are certain places in Vancouver where people routinely act like idiots who don't know how to drive and it pisses me off... The descriptions may not be clear just by reading, but if you've been to these places and experienced idiot drivers doing this, you'll know what I mean... here are some: Southbound at Garden City and Alderbridge [link]: People who don't lane-change to the right in the broken-line, but instead change-lanes LATE where the line is solid. Offramp on Sea Island going to Arthur Lang Bridge from Richmond [link]: People who fucking don't line up in the single right lane before it branches out to two lanes, but instead takes the left lane (that goes into the bus loop) and then cuts in front of everybody back into the lane. Merging of lanes before going Northbound on Arthur Lang Bridge [link]: Applies to a lot of highway-merging instances, but pretty much people who don't understand how merging works and tries to either (a) squeeze so that two cars merge into one spot, or (b) acts like a douche and gives no space for the person to merge in front of you. THIS SLOWS EVERYBODY DOWN. Add your own... |
Dumb ass kids that street race on the Sea to Sky highway and cut everyone off when it merges into single lanes. Retarded kids doing donut burnouts in Tim Horton's parking lots at night when I'm trying to park closer to get my fucking donuts and they're oblivious to me and keep donutting (sp?) Anyone who doesn't merge uniformly going onto any bridge and tries to cut the line, especially going onto the Lions Gate Bridge going to Vancouver. |
People that speed up when you're trying to merge in. Give me a fucking break, if you're going to drive with 2 car length spaces ahead of you and I signal ahead of time and slowly make my way over to your lane, why the fuck would you speed up? I know that 2 extra seconds saved of commute time might make the difference between life or death, but seriously, don't leave such a huge gap in front of you if you're going to cut me off when I try to occupy it. You're just going to feel like a dumbass when I roll up next to you at a stop light, or pass you when your stupid ass gets stuck behind a left turner. |

Rupert and 1st Avenue. When u go north and turn right onto 1st avenue. People never follow their lanes. The rightmost lane always turn into the middle lane. I always take the middle lane & turn into the middle lane. So close to getting hitting many many times. Stupid people, the lanes r there for a reason. And I hate how ppl make a turn at 40km/hr in small streets. i mean these streets r narrow, and cars r parked on the side. There's no room for u to turn. U'll either run into the parked hard or head on w/ me. Slow the f down. |

sometimes at aberdeen u cant really blame the person parking, but how people dont give a shit who is parking its the parking design that fucks everyone there as for the worst spots in town, i say Knight Bridge going northbound b4 its a 3lane merge |
Damn, that's a nice drawing, Sonick... |

Indeed, very nice drawing. Should have threw in some bmw and benz. But back to the topic, Chinese malls are often horrible partly because they use the same designs in H.K were cars are a lot smaller. Crystal Mall is the absolute worst. |
chinatown...worst place ever!! i hardly ever go there, usually for a blood test every few months and everytime i get fuck in the ass by a stupid ass driver |
My blood boils just by reading this thread, lol |

i purposely find people who park over the line then park right beside them with my passenger door inches from theirs i could care less if they scratch my car :haha: |
Artur Laing southbound where lanes separate for airport and richmond. People love to merge over the solid white lines into Richmond from the lane that leads to the airport. The right turn from Miller road onto Russ Baker heading north to Artur Laing. There's clearly a no right turn on a red light sign, yet most disregard and turn into heavy traffic. |
Richmond driver dies after crash into Fraser River Last Updated: Friday, May 8, 2009 | 8:31 AM PT C CBC News Emergency crews on the Fraser River recover a car in which a Richmond man died Thursday night. Emergency crews on the Fraser River recover a car in which a Richmond man died Thursday night. (CBC) A 70-year-old Richmond, B.C., man is dead after his vehicle plunged into the Fraser River just before midnight Thursday. Police, ambulance and coast guard crews were called to the scene near the intersection of Number One Road and River Road in Richmond after someone spotted the vehicle in the river, "We were able to extract one male from the vehicle, he was brought to shore and pronounced dead at the scene," said Sgt. Al Ramey. The vehicle was pulled from the water using a hovercraft equipped with a crane. The coast guard searched the river for other people who may have been in the car, but nobody else was discovered. The man's identity has not been released, and investigators are still investigating the cause of the crash. |
Aberdeen is worst than crystal mall, by a lot, just because its in richmond. honestly, sometimes it takes 20 minutes just to get outta there. |
Highway 1 onramp at Boundary. Man alive I want to beat people to within an inch of their lives everyday. No one moves out of the way, the on ramp from Grandview dumps an assload of traffic onto the highway then some little bitch decides to speed up down the outside lane so you can't change lanes to make things just a little safer. |
crystal mall parking lot is horrible. those going down parts are all scraped all around. |
-1 for crystal mall, how they could design a car parks that go in a circle? it makes blind spots everywhere, your car stall is super small at the front and wide at the back. Plus getting to a lower level is only one car at a time. Friend of mine busted his window and scratch his car trying to turn onto the ramp and he hit the railing. |
