I was in your shoes back in the day, I had a 'highschool sweetheart' and we went out for 5 years (with ~1.5 years in University), then we broke up... it's tough beans. It was the listen to stupid slow jams in the night and reminice sadness (HAHA) but, you can't do anything about it except wait out the heartache and move on. You're only 19..believe me, you will meet someone better than her. You got this buddy, just tough it out. PS. DO NOT PUT HER ON A PEDASTAL. PPS. Don't start doing anything destructive like heavy drugs, drinking excessively, smoking. |

From experience, I just find that when girls/guys hit their 20-22 they change. The people they were when they met in highschool or first year university aren't the people they are dating anymore. Factors that influence this change: - Meeting people outside of your cirlce (people start f/t jobs, go to university/college, bars/clubbing***) - Maturity (not dicking around as much) - Education/Career (learning about the world and realizing your career = seeking like-minded individuals - Freedom (moving out, no curfew, dorms, etc) - Wanting to be single and explore other avenues (you only have ~7 years until you get married: Party-it-out mentality) |
