so one of my harddrive is dying and i need to backup the files in there.. the problem is it's read/write speed is messed up now copying a 200mb files takes like 20min.. i try burning it to a bluray except a 25gb disc took 10hr+ to burn.. is there any other way i can back the stuff up without having to wait like a week to back it up?
Try putting it in the freezer for 30 min and then give it another go.
It's worked on several drives, so far. If your drive is exhibiting slow performance from clicks of death, then freezing it may give you a temporary boost. It should give you the opportunity to back up what you need.
