Help Renting a Luxury car

Hey guys

i need to rent a car in June and i was hoping to find like a newish luxury car (range rover, benz, bmw) i only need it for one day, and i can't really find any places
if anyone has a number or place they know that would be greatly appreciated.

Let me guess...you need it for grad?

SumAznGuy 05-12-2009 05:12 PM

Try the Hertz car rental at the airport.
I know they have BMW's and Mercedes. I rented an Escalade for my wedding last year.

But be aware you need to be 25 or older to rent.

no one will rent to you without a HEFTY deposit. let's get that outta the way first so no one makes dumb remarks.

beyond that, hertz is good, brian jessel rents BMW's... why not just roll in with a rich friend's car?

I mean, i know limo is nothing, but if you can get 10+ people in, it's not all that expensive...

jbsali 05-12-2009 06:18 PM

they usually require a clas 5 drivers license and you must be 21 years of age. in a lot of cases.

Hondaracer 05-12-2009 06:20 PM

always the same thread, always the same result

X wants to rent a high end car

X realizes that he wont be able to drink/enjoy the night

X comes to the conclusion that he should roll with friends

X goes in the limo

Leopold Stotch 05-12-2009 06:37 PM

i tried brian jessel a coupe years back

you have to be over 25 to rent it, and if your parents rent it and you get caught driving it you either buy the car ( unlikely ) or they charge your credit card some fee.

just go in a limo. it's more fun.

hal0g0dv2 05-12-2009 06:58 PM

ill rent u my Ferrari ?

Shun Izaki 05-12-2009 07:04 PM

What's the point riding in some hardcore expensive car, if you wanna drink or get high?

may as well just do it in the limo... last limo we rented, we asked if cigars/cigarettes are allowed, and they said they had a limo for that... and we just boxed the sucker XD

Manic! 05-12-2009 07:41 PM

Forget the limo and rent a motor home and get someone older to drive.

Hondaracer 05-12-2009 08:15 PM

^ might as well, motor homes are way nicer than some gay party bus BS

shenmecar 05-12-2009 08:15 PM

i bet no1 pulled up to prom in a motor home.

Honyoung 05-12-2009 08:16 PM

i dont want anything CRAZY like a lambo i just want something nicer then my parent's old accord, something like an E92 or e class mercedes im was HOPING to find a rover but fat chance of that haha, dun think ill be drinking the night of so yea a nice cruise in a nice car would be nice =D

thanks for the advise/input so far

edit: motor home would be hella funny paint grad 09 all over it HAHA partybus/motorhome

If you're still in High School, don't risk it by renting a luxury car if you're not the legal age of 25.
I had an idiot friend years back ask a friend's older brother to rent a car, and subsequently became involved in an accident.
Since it was a serious incident the police were called etc., and the insurance became void, putting his friend's brother on the hook.
Relatives chipped in to pay off the debt, which was then transferred to said friend, who was then forced to put college on hold and worked a shitty job for 3 years to pay off the debt.
Since everyone else was nearly done University by the time he paid off the debt, he didn't bother going back to post-secondary education, and today is still doing entry customer service jobs, albeit unionized.

every year this question pops up, I went in my cousin's m3 convertible. It was a nice drive there but that was about it went up to whistler afterwards and that was it. the car isn't all that glamorous

Then you drive like a pussy.

How much to rent an M3 from BJ?

twitchyzero 05-13-2009 01:56 PM

well most people drink after prom
so driving a nice car isnt that bad.

Just pass out wherever you're partying and stay overnight.

But IMO just take a limo or cab

Try iBargain Rent a Car. They even have boats for rent LOL

youre in high school. strop trying to front. you aint fooling any of your classmates cuz lets face it, they know its not your car.

Honyoung 05-13-2009 08:30 PM

im not trying to front i jut want a nice ride becuase it's a special night im pretty sure im not the only one in my school whos doing this, or even on revscene im pretty sure some poeple here rented a car for prom too

Harvey Specter 05-13-2009 08:31 PM

I don't think he's trying to front; I assume he just wants something nice for grad. I know the feeling because I wanted something nice for grad to pick up my prom date in and I was able to rent a brand new ML500 from rent a Benz because I knew the owner.

OP, it's going to be near impossible to rent a car at your age. Like already mentioned you have to be over 25 for all luxury cars and please don't have someone over 25 rent a car for you. Trust me; it's a very bad idea and not worth the risk plsu you're not going to enjoy your grad because you'll be stressed about the rental.

jebus, his car rental had the same conclusion as drug abuse

Harvey Specter 05-13-2009 08:39 PM

I knew some guys from John Oliver who graded the same year I did in 1999 and they crashed a brand new Durango. The drivers’ dad had to pay the replacement cost which was around $40,000.
