Cop Kicks Suspect's Head - High Fives Other Cop - After High Speed Chase

Quote:

LOS ANGELES -- Despite lying on the ground with his arms and legs spread, a suspect got a face full of police boot on Wednesday. The kicking cop added insult to injury by giving a post-beating high five. The brutality was the final chapter of a pursuit that began about 1:30 p.m. at an attempted traffic stop in El Monte, Calif. Police tried to stop the motorist for a traffic violation, said California Highway Patrol Officer Jose Nunez.

i'm not usually a cop hater, but with all the shit that i've been hearing about lately, i'm beginning to start to stereotype cops

i mean, common. the guy got on the floor by himself to signify he was going to give up, and i thought we were innocent until proven guilty? he had his GUN out. he had BACKUP. why the hell would he have to boot the guy in the head?

and although he is already subdued, you can see cop #2 coming along and hitting the suspect in the back a few times, apparently with a flashlight.

thoughts?

johny 05-14-2009 03:00 PM

every criminal deserves a lot worse then a boot to the head. he's not Innocent. the cops saw him with their own eyes. he is therefore proven guilty and the cop can do what he wants.

society has turned most of you into pussy political correct pansies.

the judge isn't going to do anything to him, so someone does.

Don't break the law if you don't want to get beaten up by a cop.

that's me!
*facepalm*

you expect to get beaten if you continue running, not if you surrender
that's like waving a white flag in a war and getting shot in the leg 3 more times

nsmb 05-14-2009 03:05 PM

there's nothing wrong with any of this

I found one wrong thing. I would have sicked the dog on him for a few bites.

maxx 05-14-2009 03:20 PM

no man, if the guy is on the ground with his hands up - kicking him in the head is low down. that officer should be fired and jailed.

if on the other hand the guy was shooting at them and then gave up.. i could understand the violence.

but the alleged offender didnt even do anything to the police. there are varying degrees - this was for nothing.

Presto 05-14-2009 03:26 PM

Well the suspect would've just 'fell down' a few times, if there wasn't a news chopper filming the thing. The guy is a piece of shit, anyways. He probably deserved more than a kick to the head.

Nobody has the foresight to think that far ahead. It's RS for goodness sakes, where majority of members think that upon arrest, it's your not only your privilege, but a right to resist arrest or attempt it.

unit 05-14-2009 03:48 PM

a kick in the head is a personal thing, it was unnecessary.

twitchyzero 05-14-2009 03:48 PM

the other officers high 5 him back because they probably didnt see the kick

actually i agree... unlike the apartment 205 story this isn't a suspect he's a criminal...

at first I thought that the cops was stupid and wrong... but come to think of it many people in canada walk free after something much worst... and the japanese kids in the other post that kidnapped that 16 year old girl worst

rsx 05-14-2009 04:51 PM

well deserved, actually a few more punts to the face would've been perfect!

stupid fucking criminal

that's the guy that got kicked, i would have been against the kick if i didn't see the chase showing him going in oncoming traffic etc having seen that that kick isn't much of a concern; however the cop should still be reprimanded somehow you can't have police breaking the rules without a fitting punishment

on another note, he runs fast as hell! quite impressive

the KTLA video is better with the voice the news reporter was shocked like hell and then tried to say he only kicked him in the shoulder

the fox news video is even like "woah wth" and thats FOX news

just because he tortured dozens of baby girls, and forced their mothers to eat them, while blowing up 2 school busses full of children and pissed in a swimming pool doesn't mean he deserves to be booted on the face. heinous criminals deserve to be treated with love and respect, just like any other creature on mother nature's land.

^ exactly. it was justified in this case. however, next thing you know, take down + boot to the face for public urination

dna82 05-14-2009 05:21 PM

judging from the responses on this thread.
this is why cops power trip.

dutch 05-14-2009 05:26 PM

It's amazing to me so many people here think he "deserved" the kick. I don't think the cop was trained to boot people in the head when they comply.

The cops job is to serve and protect. Not to dish out justice and punish. That's what the courts are for.

This cop should lose his job.

AzNightmare 05-14-2009 05:39 PM

WTF, at the end, did the cop just give the other cop a HIGH FIVE?
LOL.

Damn, when he was under the tree, I thought he had the helicopter beat. I mean he could of climbed it, he could of jumped over the fence, he could of changed direction, dug himself underground, who knows?!? but he pussied out and just gave up. That's boring... :(

This white kid probably never watched ONG BAK. So many options left.. he could of kept going...!!

fanatiX 05-14-2009 05:49 PM

f the police. that's what happens when the society loves the cops too much, look, cops in vancouver can get away with murder, example, Robert Dziekanski

I suppose you haven't learned about due process from whatever special needs school you dropped out of

Gnomes 05-14-2009 07:58 PM

I think corrupt cops or cops on power trips are worse than thugs. Cops are the ones we are suppose to turn to for help. They are the ones we are suppose to put all our trusts to. And we are paying them through tax money.
