ahh that's sad then. I knew Jay from running talons back in the day. He was a great guy. I felt really weird when I drove by the car, cuz I was sure it was his, but had no idea it was still around.

very very sad.

I still have the ribbon on my fridge with his name and such on it from when he was in the hospital after the crash :(

Inaii 08-16-2009 09:25 PM

His dad seemed like a really nice guy. The story was hard to hear though because he kept breaking down :( I'm not even gonna lie, I ended up crying.

Inaii 08-16-2009 09:48 PM

www.jammin4jay.com

there's some stuff in the media section that explains the story. I HIGHLY suggest watching the PSA.

First of all, thanks to all the RS staff and volunteers for another great event today.

I didn't realize Greg Drew or his son's car was there. I wish I had the opportunity to meet him.

I get chills down my spine just seeing photos of that wrecked Talon. Back in the day, I worked for Kwantlen College as a recruiter and I remember calling this young man about his application to our school. I got his mom, who gave me the news her son had died in a car accident. I was just speechless. Kudos to Greg for trying to spread his message.

This event was better than DTP!!! at least i'm not deaf after leaving and talking on the phone wasn't a problem!

Who won the best of meet awards? (if there were any)

Damn next year i'll need a closer parking spot to where all the action is, felt so sadry when the guy came up to me and said "miscellaneous? park next to the bush"

lol and then I moved my car here :)

OMG! You were that white guy from Squamish! I wanted to come talk to you, but you might have thought I was weird for coming up to a stranger, but ya, wanted to tell you that you remind me of my cousin Ed. He's got Down Syndrome and he's Autistic. But you're much better looking :)

I bet your cousin Ed couldn't finish half a can of coke zero as fast as this gwai lo. My autistic friend did tell me to go see someone named "thanks vicky" to get a free lanyard after cuz I walked away from my epic loss in slamming coke zero :(

do you know "thanks vicky"? she might have been back there somewhere

After chugging down that Coke zero. Coke zero does taste like normal coke but with zero calories....
