anyone go over the train tracks by shell/bridgeport lately?
if u go fast over that u can bottom out an SUV

they used to have cell towers on it, but i think it's like either native land, or it's been zoned as a non-development area or something, cause they took the towers down a long time ago.

the secret to 4 rd is the right lane. its way less bumpy but you got to look out for the parked cars.

it's still bumpy when compared to anyother roads out there.

wow LOL. i notice with train tracks, everyone goes over the tracks dead center in their lane.
if u move over a bit and not cross the tracks dead center, its actually smooth.

It's a swamp and people have been protesting to save it from development.

I think they have a notice of 'development pending' up..but I could be wrong (on the garden city side not the 4rd one)

That whole area is actually Federal Crown property. Most of the paving has been done because they are upgrading the sanitary/storm sewers and the telecommunication lines on Garden City and the Crown is spending the money to upgrade the lines. Eventually that area will be developed and the Feds will cash in huge! There have been talks of the larger construction companies in bidding for the property which is expected to explode once the Canada line is in service.

Companies like Bosa Development, Wall Financial (who happens to be building the Wall Center just off of No 3 and Sea Island), Scott Construction are drooling over it. Eventually you will see Westminster Hwy (east of No. 4) start being developed since it is slowly being bought up by the smaller developers putting in low rise condos.

Richmond is one of the best places to put your investment dollars right now before the economy picks up and the Canada Line gets running. Or even better is Maple Ridge before most people even know about the Evergreen line skytrain plan there.

it's not just no.4 though, they're doing roadwork everywhere in richmond practically! causing terrible traffic.

Agreed, but can you imagine the carnage on No.3?
And how would I get to Garage 5 if they did work on bridgeport?!:haha:

n'drew 05-22-2009 03:37 PM

WHY THE FUCK ARE THEY REPAVING BOUNDAY BETWEEN 1st and PARKER! ITS FUCKEN FINE

albert116 05-22-2009 03:53 PM

was driving on alderbridge this morning, heading towards the knight bridge. This car in front of me made a sudden stop and turned right onto No.4 from alderbridge. I almost rear ended the guy.

Usually there is a dedicated exit ramp there, from alderbridge turning right onto no.4, but that ramp's been blocked off due to the construction. Therefore this guy had to try to turn from the right lane instead.

So just a heads up to you guys who happen to drive on the right hand lane on alderbridge heading towards knight bridge.
