I believe they still have the pancake thing. Cause my roommate went there last night and he brought some home. Unless it's a totally different pancake, I think that's what I had last night.

There isn't. I was there and I waited in line and checked.

They replaced it with this potato twist. The grandma that made it last year was making the potato twist whereas the the lady was making the fish waffle thing and the man was taking orders.

Lol i went on saturday night, and i tried to order the Terrimayo and that Chubbz place, and they sold out lol. I chatted with the lady and they said they sell out of that really fast. I got the pork sausage one with the daikon and some green onions, it was pretty good, but not worth the $4.75

+Kardboard+ 05-25-2009 12:37 AM

omfg I'm so blind, I didn't see the Japanese hot dogs when I was there tonight and didn't realize Chubbz was it and I was looking for it too AHAHHAHAH :haha:

Name of store? Or exact location?

I thought I knew main and broadway pretty well. Is it on Main or Broadway?

And which side, East, West, North, South? Between which stores?

I think I'm going to try to make it myself from scratch. I'll let you know how things work out.

Don't you mean going eastbound? Because of you're going westbound, you're going towards Cambie or MEC.

And if you're going westbound before kingsgate, it can't be past main. My brain hurts.

If you were a girl, you'd be the perfect cheap date. Dinner at McDonalds vs. Le Crocodile, T-Bone vs. Fillet Mignon, Coca Cola vs. Dom Perignon.

for whoever is look for the korean pancakes, there is a stand that sells it at booth F53

Benz_05TSX 06-02-2009 06:36 AM

I don't know why so many ppl go there, food is not that good and its not that cheap. Unless you know them or wait until late at night...

Best deal I got was $7 for Large size "fake" shark fin soup, 4 pork dumplings, 4 gyoza, and a cup full of fishballs. hahaha... and $1 for 2 skewers!! FTW!!!

Shun Izaki 06-02-2009 10:52 AM

food was always kinda expensive at nightmarket.

it's usually just nice having it all there at once.

I get my taiyaki, and my takoyaki, and my bbq squid LOL

ilvtofu 06-02-2009 10:57 AM

I tried the oroshi dog at the real japadog in downtown and it was gross, worst $4.75 ever!
Terimayo looked good though
