world famous? its just a hot dog stand.. 9 times out of 10 i'd prefer a normal hotdog |
How exactly is it a knock-off? Have you tried it? |
what the hell is a japanese hot-dog anyways??? |

hahaha i love this quote on their site!! " Our English is very poor. The followings may make mistakes. We are sorry." |
the guy at japadog makes a killing. 5 dollars a hotdog with redicilious lineups. I bet he makes 3-4 grand a day. |
which reminds me, during the olympics im opening up a souvlaki stand. |

its not considered a knock-off |

it would be more like a replica, which means its similar, but not the same as the original |

Would be the same issue if I started a burger joint and sold burgers with two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun and called it Big Mac. Not sure if technically whether its a "knockoff" or plagarism or replica, but it certainly isn't the most legit of business practices. I called it knockoff coz it sounds the most absurd for food, and most fitting for the Night Market. |
if it was a problem i don't think that the city of richmond would give them a business license to operate |
I could sure go for a Japadog right now. |

that's why there's always 4 or 5 of them to 1 girl in the AV movies |
the japadog guy came to ubc month ago and the line up went from the SUB entrance to near the aquatic center entrance |
Terimayo and oroshi are both just names like ketchup and mustard. It's just like how every izakaya calls deep fried shrimp with mayo based sauce ebimayo. Not really a big deal. Now if the name of the booth was Japandog or something like that, then that's pretty bad lol. |
